Visible Salt

Okay, the company my dad works for (see below--he's the Kingpin) has a new product called Visible Salt. First thing that popped into my head was the Visible Man plastic models that grossed me out in my younger years... sort of an inside out view of salt. Salt, if I remember correctly, looks pretty much the same inside as it does outside. But (BUT!) not if you color the salt blue.

You see, salt sorta disappears when you put it on food in reasonable quantities. This makes it hard to put on food in reasonable quantities since you don't really know when to stop. Welllll, if you color said salt blue, it shows up better on stuff. I've tested it, it's fascinating, the theory is sound, and it's still salt. Not to demean salt, it's just that the taste isn't altered in any way. Visible Salt. There are other plans in place for the product as well. My gratis bottles of free spices from The Hoard never really make clear if they're in beta or pre-release, and I didn't sign any NDA's. So I hope I'm not giving McCormick any ideas.
